Fermented Tomato sauce

Fermented Tomato sauce – Love this recipe.

There are several fermented tomato sauce recipes out there, I’ve personally tried many of them out myself and not liked them, so I created this one and it’s been a family favourite one ever since.  Give this a try I’m sure you will never go back.
15 Tomatoes
3 Onions
3 cloves of Garlic
2 tsp of salt
2Tbs of Sage or Basil
½ tsp of chilli powder
2 tsp of sweet paprika
⅓ cup of wheyBlend all together in a thermomix, and then set to cook 100 for 40 mins, on speed 1.
Check for salt, let cool. When finger cool add ⅓ cup of whey and bottle. Leaving to ferment for two days on the counter and then move to cool storage.  Will last about 4 weeks. If you don’t have a thermomix  all the cooking can happen on a stove top and you can make this in a blender.

* Don’t forget that you can use any herbs and spices that your family like.  You can also make this in bulk and can it (leaving out the whey) then  simply add the whey and ferment when your ready to start using it.
